This rugged baby was made mostly from clay personally dug from the construction site next door in Yarraville (with permission from traditional owners and less importantly, the construction manager) and blended with a little bit of commercial stoneware.
Glazed with a clear satin glaze that spills onto the exterior and left raw outside, this vase is somewhat water permeable so is better suited to dried flowers (or risk some slight leakage).
Approximately 10cm tall, 6.5cm in diameter
$10 from the sale of this vase will be donated to SEED, the country’s first youth-based Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander climate justice network. The organisation’s vision is of a fair and sustainable future that has Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities in mind.
