Both have been glazed clear on the inside. The outside has been decorated with a shino glaze that incorporates hand-processed red clay from the rich volcanic soils of the Dandenong ranges. The larger sieve used makes visible the range of particles sizes of the minimally processed earth, suspended in the glazed surface.
