Made using 30% upcycled ceramic materials that have been crushed, sieved and wedged back into clay to be saved from landfill or other unsavory endings.
Decorated with a shino glaze that incorporates hand-processed red clay from the rich volcanic soils of the Dandenong ranges. The high iron in that clay gives the pieces a unique warmth.
The unsieved mineral granules document the movement of glaze out of the bowl, leaving a textured surface- thus this one is best for decorative purposes!
